It is an exact replica to one of the most popular and effective blades used in the Northwest U.S.A. in Oregon in the prolific salmon runs on the Columbia and Willamette rivers and their tributaries. The legendary Dudley Nelson was the inventor of this uniquely shaped blade with 8 facets. The results of the facetted shape are pretty impressive as the images below show.
