Fishing Reports

Most of the fishing reports you will see on the TLS Fishing Report Page will be from our Factory/Field Rep Team.

We welcome your input as well. If you have a fishing report you'd like to submit we would love to share it. Please try to include some information on what TLS products are working for you and some images if possible. Thank you!

Top Line Spinners Field Rep Reports: Meet the Field Staff Team:

Mike Arnold

Owner/Operator Absolute Angling Guide Service

Tillamook, Oregon

Mike is a resident of Tillamook, Oregon and is a full time sport fishing guide. Mike is a salmon guy with a bit of steelhead mixed in. We should start seeing some reports starting in May as the spring Chinook start showing Tillamook Bay. Mike will be chasing Chinook and coho throughout the seasons so keep an eye out for his timely reports.

Please look for Mike's reports starting in the spring of the 2017 season as he gets on the water and the new TLS website builds up to running at 100%.

5/3/2017

Mike was out on Tillamook Bay today and finally had some sunshine. A couple fish were caught and Mike's boat hit a nice fish on the FB 5N. The FB5N series blade was real good last year and it has started out the same for 2017. As Mike begins to hit the water hard in the next few weeks, we'll keep you posted on what's happening there on his home waters.

Tillamook Bay Update 5/12/17: Tillamook Bay is beginning to see an increase of spring chinook showing in different locations of the bay. The mid to upper have held some fish during different times of the tide. The spinner bite has started even though the water surface temps have been hovering around 50 degrees. As with last year, the fish are favoring chartreuse, greens with red or blue accents in size 5 or 6 blades.

8/3/2017 The lower Columbia River opener started out real well. Mike has put a couple in the boat this morning already. The B-10 series spinners in 3.5 size behind his custom taped flashers are working well so far. Not a wide open bite but fish being caught. Hoping for an update later in the day.

Nice mid-twenties fish crushed the 3.5 B-10 with the chart/red tip.

10/1/2017
Mike is fishing back around his home waters of Tillamook. Today's report came from the Nehalem where he picked up a mix of coho and Chinook. He's still having great results with the TLS 3.5 B-10 Series blades--today's best results came with the spinners behind Pro-Troll rotating flashers.

James Frietas

TLS Senior Factory/Field Representive

James is a resident of Rio Vista California. He's just a bit addicted to fishing. He lives on a boat (a very nice one) and captains the TEAM RPPS boat throughout the Sacramento River system. He only has sturgeon, striped bass, black bass and Chinook to fish for--poor guy!

Please look for James' reports starting in the spring of the 2017 season as he gets on the water and the new TLS website builds up to running at 100%.

9/25-10/1 2017

James has been hitting the Lower Sac hard and this last week it started to get good. The fish are hitting a variety of double blade patterns. The bite is off and on but he let me fish with him and we actually hit a double in one of his favorite spots. Lots of fun! We delivered a batch of spinners to Sylvia at Vieria's Resort and more are on the way so be sure to stop in and pick up some of the patterns that have been working lately. Now is the time to get to the Sac and get in on some great fishing.
